Once a small business website is up and running, the hard part is over.  Now it’s just a matter of keeping the site fresh with new content.  Adding, updating, and removing content is not the headache it once was.  A small business website is a great way for a small business to promote their new products, highlight specific items, advertise promotions, and create overall awareness for their business.  The small business can also have a newsletter, emailing those who sign up, special discounts while at the same time increasing traffic to their website.

Business hours limit how well a small business gets to interact with its customers.  A small business website, however, solves this dilemma.  With a website, customers and potential customers, those who may never have actually visited the brick and mortar business, can visit the website and see what its all about.  With email, these customers can reach the owner any time, making the online experience a bit more personal.

First impressions are everything.  If you, a potential customer, looks up a small business on the web and either finds no website or one that is quite outdated, would you be inclined to visit the business?  Probably not, and neither would others.  Having a fresh, updated website gives a small business credibility in they eyes of the consumer, and shows that they care about their customers.
